& HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED ~ Come find out where
and how to shop in France, visit the tradionel French market, come
get to know our local village butcher, baker and the spar, meet people
from all walks of life and from all points of the globe. The
most important member of the group as to be our Cook and house
keeper. Here is a chance to come and spend some time in France and be
part of something.
The kids left home and maybe call once a week? come start your life
again and use La Giraudiere as your kick off point.
Use to feeding large groups? maybe you had 6 brothers and 6 sisters
then come and feed us we need you.
Maybe you are a proffessionel cook or Chef and fed up with the day to
day pressure of todays commercial world? well come and cook for us and
with us and take some time out.
Last year, as with this year, the group will take turns preparing the
evening meals this way we have a chance to either show off ,or sample
something different. Last year I sampled cuisines from all round the
world, French, Italina, New Zealand, Australia, America, Mexican,
Indonesian, Chinesse, Indian, Japanesse, Russian, Holland and more
"what a treat".
Briefly this is what is exspected or what as past before,
Breakfast is normally starts from 8.00 unless there is a real scorcher
of a day on the way, then start time may be earlier if agreed the day
before by the group. All that is required here is the laying of the
table, bowls etc
for cereals,toast, juices and of course start up the cafe or tea, So
your day
would be starting at about 7.30
Breakfast is normally finished by 8.45 at which time the rest of the
group start work on their projects. After clearing away
the breakfast things. A tour of the apartments just to check all is ok,
prepare beds for any new arrivals, check towels and toileteries. Load
the washing machine with any dirty bed linen or towelling. Might need
to do a quick trip to the village for fresh bread or maybe something
you have in mind for lunch. At about 10.30 we take on a cafe/tea
break.
Lunch is normaly prepared for 1.00 - 1.15 for the last few years lunch
as comprised of a mixure of Saladeries, cold meats, eggs, etc as an
entree followed by something hot like a Pizza, lasagne,stew or quiche
etc etc, After lunch is cleared and when the group contiue with
their respective projects it's time for checking what is required to
stock up and maybe make sure we have what is needed for the evening
meal and liase with whoever is preparing this evening.
The cook or
housekeeper is the same as the rest of the group and stays in the
same accommodation as the rest we all eat together and participate in
the same
events and activities that are planned ~ No difference what so ever
ftom the rest of the group.
