Every autumn after the<em> <\/em><em>vendange<\/em>, Brossac and the surrounding villages do a 10k walk around the area while eating chestnuts and drinking <em>vin bourru<\/em> a very -very- new wine that almost tasted like a sparkling grape juice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_85801.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1295\" title=\"IMG_8580\" src=\"http:\/\/lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_85801-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_85801-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_85801.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 160px) 100vw, 160px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year La Giraudiere has been chosen to be the place where the chestnuts are prepared for the walk. It was the last day they were open before going on vacation for two weeks, so we decided to stop in and say goodbye to our friends Marciel, Magdalene and Christophe and wish them well on their vacation.<\/p>\n<p>Sleep well everyone.
