Paul Rice, the head of the project and Hugo M\u00fcller, a Franco-German <strong>Erasmus volunteer<\/strong>. The training sessions ran from mid-May until the end of the season (early June).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FC Sud-Charente, a merger of the football clubs of Brossac and Chalais, has a first and second team and many youth teams. But during the week the seniors train together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/FCSC-Logo-1.jpg\" alt=\"FC-Sud-Charente logo\" class=\"wp-image-9316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/FCSC-Logo-1.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/FCSC-Logo-1-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Hugo needed a lot of skill to keep up with the boys because it&#8217;s been four years since he played in a club or competitive environment. The training sessions were quite intense, but the team did not lack any sense of humour. Most of the players were about 25 years old, so Hugo (19) was more of a younger player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul offered Hugo a lift to Chalais and the players offered him a lift back to Brossac.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such local activities are great opportunities for any foreign volunteer to meet new people and improve their French.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hugo enjoyed it so much that he has already decided and arranged with the responsible persons that he will participate in the training sessions again after the summer break at the beginning of August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like to know more about <strong>FC-Sud-Charente<\/strong> then visit a previous match report at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lagiraudiere.com\/blog\/football-club-sud-charente\/\">FC Sud Charente<\/a>.
