If you have an idea of something that you think may help the project at La Giraudiere then tell me. I want your help, I want your input, I want your ideas. Design and create a play recreation area, write an article or blog for the website or improve the articles that exist, Find unusual attractions within the region of south west France andCreate a unique excursion or tour for the group we are looking for people that can be inspired and can inspire us. If you have a skill in either building as in construction or building as in website building come along and share it with us and the rest of the group. If you are a photographer come along and improve the images we have and pass your skills on to the group. If you do not have a skill or trade then come along anyway and maybe learn one.
WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE THE LA GIRAUDIERE PROJECT
The whole idea of the La Giraudiere project is for people of all backgrounds, all ages, all nationalities to have the chance to live together learn about each others lifestyle exchange their knowledge, experiences and skills whilst living and working together in France and at the same time helping, improving and adding to the Project for those to come in the future.

WHAT IS LA GIRAUDIERE AND WHAT IS HAPPENING THERE?
La Giraudiere a typical stone built charentaise masters house and was owned by the family Giraud. The family moved away some years ago and the property fell into disrepair. In 1997 Myself, two of my brothers and a friend formed a French property company and decided to purchase and restore La Giraudiere with the idea of putting together a small tourist hamlet. The path with the French authorities as been long but at last we have everything in place for the go ahead.
Upon completion of the first stage, La Giraudiere will accommodate 40+ persons and will have a bar, restaurant and leisure facilities. The hamlet will continue to be used to accommodate this project plus school trips initially from the UK and USA. Presently we have 3 apartments complete, maybe 4 if all goes well this year, which would be the accommodation for the group.

WHO
CAN APPLY?Anyone over the age of 18 years who can prove that they can help make La Giraudiere come to life. Practical, clerical, and whatever trade or skill you have if you think you could contribute towards this scheme then come and see us. I am not worried about Age. Students come and bring some new life into La Giraudiere Over 50 come and contribute your experience to La Giraudiere

would like to learn and we will
forward you links to further information and the application form. WHAT IF I ONLY WANT TO HELP TWO DAYS A WEEK?
It is
simple and the
whole scheme is very flexible. To stay in the south west France region
with accommodation and full board would normally start at about 60
euros per day. So ok La Giraudiere estate is not finished but the
accommodation is finished and very comfortable and three meals a day
will be served. So if you would prefer to help 2 days and have 5 off
then you pay the additional 60 euros per day so your week would cost 270 euros
and you would have the 5 days off. Great work the week-end and have the
week off 5 days to explore France and this fabulous region.
THIS
