An American Volunteer Returns to France

An American Volunteer Returns to France

A big thank you to Tom Clinch, an American volunteer who came to the south west of France to deepen his experience with the French culture and language. Tom fell in love with the French culture and decided to make a third visit to La Giraudiere.

While at La Giraudiere Tom helped with the construction work in the “Old House”. He also did regular maintenance duties around the property and helped new volunteers do tasks such as plaster boarding, sanding and floating.

Tom regularly played games of Pétanque with locals whom he has gotten to know after a few summers at La Giraudiere. He also finally got to experience French style Fish and Chips at a local restaurant in Chalais.

Thank you Tom for joining the team at La Giraudiere again. You were a great help and a pleasure to work with. We hope you come back to the south west France to volunteer again soon!
