On
this page will be information about events and dates to note concerning
activities and fetes which will be happening in the village this
season 2012. The volunteers at La Giraudiere have been asked to help
with putting some of the festivities in place this is an excellent
opertunity to become involved with the local community and improve your
French. Todate the following as been confirmed - this page will be updated as more dates come to hand. 13th July 2012 Bastille Day and as per the last three years the Volunteers at La Giraudiere have been asked to help put the bastile celebrations in place. Last year we helped with putting up the tents and preparing the area for the fireworks our reward was a ring side seat with dinner. You can see last years blog entry at BASTILE DAY IN BROSSAC 27th July 2012 Is Mache nocturne or night market and the team at LG will be helping the comitte des fetes put in place what is needed and Paul will be helping with the beer at the Bar. 5th August 2012 is the sunday for the Inter village games or jeux intervillage last year several of the volunteers team joined up with Brossac team. The evening is finished with some music and a dinner. This year La Giraudieres volunteers have been invited to help put the games in place. |
