Erasmus Internships in France – Agreement

Internship agreement

Joint Agreements all parties agree to the following four basic tenets of the internship;

  • 1. There will be no binding contract between the Intern and the provider, and it is for this reason that an agreement is prepared as opposed to a contract.
  • 2. This is an unpaid learning and training internship
  • 3. This internship is not replacing a paid role or someone’s job.
  • 4. The principal objective of the internship is to provide training, work place experience and skills to the intern.

The Internship agreement will be between the intern, who will be referred to as the intern and La Giraudière, the internship provider, who will be referred to as the provider. No other party would be concerned with this agreement unless you are seeking funding of an Erasmus grant. In which case your university, faculty or sending organisation would be the third party in this agreement.

The sending organisation will supply an additional agreement. The additional agreement would outline the knowledge, skills and competences which will be acquired. Furthermore, the additional agreement would outline the monitoring plan, evaluation plan.

The internship provider will agree to;

Provide accommodation, meals, transfers, excursions and all that is listed upon the webpage “an all-inclusive internship in France” (see web page all-inclusive internship)

Provide initial orientation, regular meetings, appropriate appraisals, and training in each task or duties allotted to the intern;

To issue to the intern, upon completion of the internship with good performance, the following: a Certificate of Internship, a Letter of Achievement, and a Certificate of French, or English, Language Attainment. A letter of recommendation may also be provided when required.

The internship sending organisation agrees;

To provide a learning agreement for all parties to consider and sign,

To provide the Erasmus internship grant direct to the intern.

To supply insurance cover for the intern during the period of the internship. Public liability assurance is provided by the provider.

The intern agrees;

Without authorisation, not to duplicate, copy, inform, deliver, disclose, or make available to third parties any business secret, document, working material, information, data drawing, or any other confidential document made known or shown to him or her either during the Agreement Term, or after the internship.

To provide La Giraudière with a copy of all materials prepared during the Erasmus internship. La Giraudière is free to use all photographs and videos taken during my stay in which I appear for the purpose of illustrating the project’s blog and website.

By submitting your application for an Erasmus internship and subsequently paying your deposit you confirm that you have read this agreement and agree to abide by it and its contents. Either party may terminate this Agreement by giving notice in writing and under acceptance by the other Party only.
